The Missouri prep season ended with the championship trophy in familiar hands. St. Louis University High (SLUH) defeated Ladue in Saturday’s championship and pocketed its 19th title trophy. The Jr. Billikens, who finished the season 23-4, have won nine championships in the last 12 years.

[Junior Joe Jellinek] scored a match-high three goals to lead the Junior Billikens to a 9-4 win over Ladue in the Missouri Water Polo District tournament championship match at Rec-Plex.

SLUH won its third successive area title and claimed its record 19th overall championship.

Senior Cedrick Everaert led the scoring for Ladue, which finished 19-7-1.
