WATCH: Cal Women Begin Season under New Leadership

The 2017 NCAA women’s water polo season begins in earnest this weekend. Saratoga, CA is the destination for teams participating in the Lou Strong Memorial Tournament, an annual season-starter hosted by San Jose State, which is being displaced from campus until late 2018 as their new $130 million aquatics facility is constructed. Games will take place at nearby West Valley College.

Stanford, UCLA, Pacific, SJSU, UC Davis and the Canadian National Team will all be there, as will Cal under their new coach Coralee Simmons.

She shares more about her background and enthusiasm for working in Berkeley with Cal Athletics in this introductory video interview.
