WATCH: Lindenwood Anchored by Uniquely Seasoned Keeper

The scoreline of Lindenwood’s October 17 CWPA Missouri Valley Division Championship victory showed Mario Caballero with seven saves between the pipes, and Lance Clark with six. But the statistics fail to capture just how impressive that final save tally is.

Lance Clark is 47 years old.

‘I don’t know how I feel about being in this story because of my age,’ says Clark.  ‘But yes I’m 47.’

The Lions’ keeper is working toward his MBA in St. Charles and is poised to compete for a men’s club water polo national championship on the side. The Lions defeated soon-to-be varsity DII McKendree 22-4 in their division title match and remain four points clear of Cal at the top of the CWPA’s men’s club poll.

St. Louis’ Fox 2 News traveled to the Rec-Plex to feature the national champs and their unique goalie as they gear up for the CWPA title tournament, November 11-13 at the University of Notre Dame.
