The new teams have prompted a re-organization of the Collegiate Water Polo Association. La Salle has been placed in the West Region of the new Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference. The powerful East Region is home to the team from Wagner. McKendree begins its inaugural season as a CWPA club but is expected to gain NCAA status in 2017.
