Diamond Bar Coach Dies Following Water Polo Practice – Daily Bulletin

Alexander Ruiz, an assistant girls water polo coach at Diamond Bar High School, has died after collapsing at the conclusion of practice on Tuesday. Ruiz was 45.

Ruiz was a walk-on assistant coach for both boys and girls water polo teams, and for the school’s swim program. Ruiz’s two sons are both students at the high school, located near Pomona in Southern California.

No cause of death has yet been determined.
