Scott Reed, who departed George Washington University a year ago, has found a new home in Minnesota. Macalester College has hired Reed to take over their women’s water polo program two months after the position opened.
Reed was the first women’s water polo coach at George Washington since the team began play in 2000. He won 173 games in his 15 seasons with the Colonials. He takes over a program that won 11 games in 2015, the most in program history.
The Scots will begin their 2016 season by hosting Monmouth College on February 27.
Macalester College director of athletics Kim Chandler announced the hiring of Scott Reed as head water polo coach. Reed spent 16 years at George Washington University as coach of the Colonials’ men’s and women’s water polo teams.
