Tonight the Pac-12 will announce its All-Century water polo team on the Pac-12 Sports Report at 9:00 PM Pacific Time including an interview with the Player of the Century by Greg Mescall. We know the results already (we were honored to be part of the group who voted for the official team) but we’re going to maintain the suspense and let the Pac-12 announcement speak for itself.

But our fans have been making their own selections via a poll we published in late September and and well over a hundred readers responded. They selected seven drivers/attackers, six field/utility/2M, two goalies and one coach from 42 players nominated by the conference’s schools.

Not surprisingly, Tony Azevedo of Stanford was overwhelmingly selected as “the best player to have played in the Pac-12 in the last century,” followed by Cal’s Chris Humbert and Wolf Wigo, also from Stanford.

The coach of the century according to TWp voters: Jovan Vavic of USC followed closely by Cal’s Pete Cutino.
