HIGHLIGHTS: Showcase of Moore League Boys Water Polo

The boys of Long Beach Wilson are among the best known of all high school water polo teams in the US. Not surprisingly they’ve won their league championship eight consecutive years and the vast majority of them in the last 40.

But they’re not the only team in Long Beach and very local Gazettes Sports was there for a showcase of fellow Moore League competitors. The game of the day was a back and forth twister between Lakewood and Long Beach Poly, better known for its prep football dominance. The Jackrabbits let go of their lead only to storm back with six goals in the final period to take down the Lancers. Millikan took down hosts and relative newcomers Cabrillo, while Wilson dispatched improving Jordan.
