Start a program, win a section championship.
Foothill Technology in Ventura accomplished exactly that with their CIF-Southern Section D7 victory on Saturday. The school created the program just prior to the 2014-15 school year and hired Ventura College hall-of-famer Samantha Ebberson to lead it. The Dragons lost only three matches in their inaugural year and beat Hillcrest 10-7 to finish the dream season.
