Tied at three at the half, Brunswick pulled away from Deerfield in the second half of the NEPSAC Championship match on Sunday to earn a New England Prep School title in their newly minted home pool. The Bruins outscored the Big Green 3-1 in the third quarter and finished the match 7-6 victors. Brunswick was seeded first in the four-team tournament and defeated Suffield Academy 17-6 in the opening game.
Brunswick Water Polo began as a varsity sport in 2009 and is coached by Greenwich Aquatics Water Polo leadership including Bill Smith and Ulmis Iordache.
