WATCH: Spotlight on CA Central Valley’s Undefeated Redwood Boys

Highway 99 traverses California from just south of Bakersfield northward to Sacramento, and along the way one can find some of the hidden gems of California water polo, whose quality is rising in areas such as Fresno and Visalia similar to the way it is in other areas where the sport is developing.

Visalia’s Redwood High School entered the 2014 season with high hopes after a successful summer of club training and the maturation of some of its younger athletes. The Rangers, runners-up in the Central Section D2 final in 2013, are now undefeated after 23 games and look to avenge that title loss of a year ago. The Central Valley Sports Report catches up with Coach Major Rogers and seniors Matt Bravante and Sam Peckinpah after a recent victory to reflect on their successes so far.
