POLL: Stanford Regains Week 7 Top Spot After Win over USC

avery-2

The third different team in as many weeks has taken the top spot in the CWPA’s week seven varsity men’s water polo poll. Stanford’s win over last week’s number one, USC, followed by a convincing defeat of seventh-ranked UC Santa Barbara has propelled the Cardinal to the high point.

The Trojans fell a spot to second. UCLA came to Berkeley and routed the Cal Bears on Saturday. For that they were rewarded with the third spot while Cal fell to fourth.

Long Beach State and UC San Diego filled the fifth and sixth spots followed by UC Santa Barbara, Pacific, Princeton and UC Irvine.

Princeton retains its number one ranking in the CWPA as does Whittier in Division III polling.
