The iconoclastic Ivy League holds one of the more interesting annual water polo competitions, the most recent of which was completed on Sunday with a Princeton victory over hosts Brown.
The Ivy Championship features a mix of men’s varsity and intercollegiate clubs from within the league. A mini tourney among clubs took place on Saturday with Dartmouth emerging on top. With that victory the Big Green were thrust in to the ranks of the varsity teams and performed admirably, losing to Harvard in the third-place game, 15-11 after an education by Princeton in their first match on Sunday, 18-6.
Princeton Athletics produced this video spotlighting the Tigers’ scoring flurry before Brown’s recovery. Princeton iced the with with a final penalty shot and won 9-7.
