Southridge Boys One Goal Better than Newberg in Oregon 6A Final

Southridge High School took home its third consecutive Oregon Boys’ 6A state title on Saturday with a one-goal defeat of long-time rivals Newberg. Prior to Southridge’s recent title streak, Newberg won six consecutive championships between 2005 and 2010.

Tualatin’s girls regained its position on the championship podium, which it last ascended in 2011, with a 7-5 win over Lincoln to take the 6A title.

The Mountain View boys and West Albany girls each had convincing wins in their 4/5A championship matches.
